Policies & FAQs

The mission of Sacred Spring Bodywork is to offer a healing, respectful, and deeply restorative experience. The following guidelines exist to honor your wellbeing and the integrity of this practice.

What should I expect as a first-time client?

–    All new clients should plan to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled massage. (Filling out paperwork before you arrive eliminates the need to have this extra time.)

–    We will do a health intake interview and assessment so that each session can be tailored to your specific needs.

–    This additional time is complimentary and will not shorten your scheduled massage.

Is there anything I should do to prepare?

–    Please avoid eating for at least one hour before your appointment. A light snack is fine, but a heavy meal may cause discomfort during bodywork.

–    Clients are asked to practice good personal hygiene out of mutual respect for the session space.

–    Please remove all jewelry before your session, or store it safely upon arrival. Sacred Spring Bodywork is not responsible for lost or misplaced items.

–    Removing makeup before your session is recommended, especially if face or scalp work is included. Disposable wipes are available if needed.

–    Please turn off your cell phone or any other devices prior to your session so that no buzzing or sounds will interrupt the focus of our work.

Will I be comfortable?

–    Clients are invited to undress to their level of comfort. You will never be asked to remove more than you are comfortable with — boundaries are always respected.

–    You will be professionally draped with a sheet at all times. Only the area actively being worked on will be uncovered, and your privacy will be carefully maintained throughout. If at any point your draping feels uncomfortable, please speak up and adjustments will be made immediately.

What if the session needs to end early?

–    Either the client or the therapist may end a session at any time, for any reason — no explanation required.

–    If you wish to stop your session early, simply say so. You are under no obligation to continue.

–    If the session is ended early for any reason (besides an emergency), the client remains responsible for full payment of the scheduled service.

–    Massage therapy is non-sexual and any inappropriate behavior will result in immediate termination of the session.

What if I need to cancel an appointment?

–    Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrivals will receive the remaining time of their scheduled session and will be billed at the full rate.

–    At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule without charge.

–    Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice or no-shows will be charged 50% of the scheduled service fee.

–    If you are feeling unwell or have a contagious condition, please reach out to reschedule as soon as possible.

How does payment work?

–    Sessions are priced as follows: 60 min - $80, 90 min - $120.

–    At this time, health insurance is not accepted.

–    Payment is due at the time of service. Accepted forms of payment are cash, Venmo, and PayPal.

–    While your gratitude is appreciated, gratuity is not expected or required. Pricing reflects appropriate compensation for time and skills.

Am I safe here?

–    Please be honest with health information, to the best of your ability. That ensures that your session will be safe and beneficial for your body. Any information shared will remain confidential.

–    All clients will be treated with respect and care regardless age, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, gender, religion, body type, or background. This is a safe space.
